LG G Pro 2 Looks Set For 13th Feb Announcement
The LG G Pro 2 has certainly been making a lot of noise recently. Just there was a rumor detailing the 5.9″ beast’s display and bezels and just today, it appears LG has quietly begun sending out invites for an event in Seoul scheduled exactly 6 days from now. It seems like a safe bet to assume it’s the LG Pro 2. It is however worth noting that this 13th February date is a couple weeks earlier than the MWC unveiling some of us believed would happen. The slightly early launch could give them an edge over Samsung, HTC, Sony and co. None of those OEMs have any unveilings scheduled between now and the 13th but will probably have some sort of presence at MWC later this month from the 24th onwards over in Barcelona.
The LG G Pro 2 is expected to feature a 1080p IPS 5.9″ display, some really thin 0.44mm side bezels, a Snapdragon 800 SoC and 3GB RAM. The invite also makes a very obvious reference to LG’s ‘Knock-On’ feature which allows users to quickly unlock their phone by double tapping the display.
In case you plan to follow the event live, make sure to add 10:30am – 1 pm (UTC+9) 13th February, 2014 to your calendar.
